The CRIS group investigated Whitehand Hall on the OU Campus In Norman OKlahoma on June 21, 2007. The building was originally built in 1921 by the Scottish Rite Masons. "Albert Pike Hall" was originally a men's dormitory and was later sold to the Campus in 1946. It was renamed "Whitehand Hall" named in memory of Robert H. Whitehand a playwright and drama teacher. Captain Whitehand was killed in action over France on March 27, 1945. This building was by far one of the most well built buildings we have ever investigated.
Our client Carol called us and said that her son and others had been experiencing paranormal type activity in the building late at night. Most of the activity centered around the basement and a storage area on the first floor. Carol accompanied team members Lisa, Dizzy, Sheri and Emily into the basement area Mitch, Emily's boyfriend was also present. We performed an EMF sweep and Lisa immediately noticed an electrical box emitting very high EMF ranges. This was the area where some of the activity had been reported. This is common due to the fact that exposure to high EMF can trigger all sorts of phenomena [of the natural kind] including hearing voices, hallucinations or seeing spots. None of the team members sensed any threatening type of paranormal activity in the area. Lisa performed three sessions on her digital audio recorder. When reviewed most of the EVP captured was of low quality [C] type EVP of the monitors talking. We did however capture 3 [B] quality rated EVP of a very cordial male voice. Please check out the audio recordings section at the left to hear what this man had to say. Towards the end of the tapes a monitor had something interesting to say to one of the other worldly guests.
In the first session this class B EVP was noted at the beginning of the recording. A male voice says " My name is Edwards...I told you " It is very rare for a non local being to state his name, let alone at the beginning of a session with out prodding.
The second EVP came shortly after the first the male voice says " I'm standing here...pleased to meet you " . We have researched the name "Edwards" and thus far have found no person mentioned in connection with this building. If any one knows who this man might be please contact Lisa.
The third EVP listed is very interesting because the male voice actually names our client he says what sounds like " Tell Carol there is something here "
In the final EVP what may be a monitor makes an unusual statement he says " No time to tell them your guilty " [class C]
