The following evidence and chronological series of events are so mind boggling that only the hard core EVP technicians and paranormal investigators will appreciate the implications. What does the evidence presented in the clips to the right indicate about how and when does the paranormal voice phenomena appear on our recordings? The first clip was recorded on March 9, 2007 during an investigation of the building located at 30th and Classen Blvd. in Oklahoma City. The second clip was recorded upstairs at 2412 N Shartel in Oklahoma City prior to a smudging on December 1, 2007. That's 8 months later but yet there is one more twist. Lisa and Katey processed the recordings in March of 2008. In other words the second recordings were never played until the evening in March 08. During the processing of the second tapes Katey stopped to recall the very first EVP she had ever heard. She was remembering how scared she was when she heard "I killed the goldsmith" come out of the speakers. Lisa had briefly stopped processing her tapes while Katey shared her story with Stephen and Cory who were also present. As Lisa turned to examine the next thirty seconds of tape the exact same EVP came out of the speakers and was apparently ON THE SECOND RECORDING !  Lisa immediately called every ones attention to this mind bending event. How did the EVP appear on a separate recording collected 8 months later which was being processed 3 months later at the exact moment that Katey is telling her story? The mathematical odds of these three events occurring randomly are acutely PARANORMAL or a trillion to one !

We have heard many theories about how an EVP is transcribed onto a recording device. Most researchers feel that the microphone is some how manipulated or "white noise" is somehow rearranged to create the phenomena. Is it possible that the EVP is not actually on the recording device until playback? Skeptics may say "well maybe the recorder malfunctioned and added the EVP later to a different file". This would not explain the exact time frame in which Katey was uttering the exact words that suddenly appeared. Again, the mathematical odds would make these synchronized events far more than a coincidence.
